About Us

A DOJO BUILT ON DISCIPLINE.

MicroDojo Shito-Ryu Karate School — India was founded to bring authentic, federation-recognised Karate-Do to the families of Electronic City. What began as a small group of students training in Ananthnagar has grown into a community of over 150 active karateka across kids, teenage, adult and competition batches.

Mission

OUR MISSION.

To make traditional Karate-Do accessible to every family in Electronic City, and to use it as a vehicle for building disciplined, confident and physically capable individuals — regardless of age or starting ability.

Vision

OUR VISION.

To be recognised as the benchmark Shito-Ryu dojo in South Bangalore: producing national and international level competitors while never compromising the values, etiquette and depth of the traditional art.

Philosophy

KARATE-DO.

Karate ni sente nashi — there is no first attack in karate. We train the body to be capable and the mind to be calm, so that force becomes the last resort rather than the first instinct. The belt is a record of effort, never a trophy.

Our History

FROM A SMALL HALL.

The school was established to serve families in Ananthnagar and the surrounding Electronic City neighbourhoods who had to travel far for serious martial arts instruction.

Training began with a handful of children and a single evening batch. As students progressed through their kyu grades and began winning at district and state level, morning, weekend, competition and Dan-preparation batches were added.

Today MicroDojo runs classes six days a week and prepares students for federation-recognised gradings and tournaments under AKSKA, AISKU, KIO.

For Parents

WHY CHOOSE MICRODOJO.

01

Authentic lineage

We teach traditional Shito-Ryu, not a diluted fitness version. Every kata and technique follows the recognised syllabus.

02

Age-appropriate batches

Four-year-olds and adults do not train the same way. Each batch is built for its age group's attention span and physiology.

03

Recognised certification

Gradings are conducted under AKSKA, AISKU, KIO affiliations, so certificates carry weight beyond our dojo.

04

Safety first

Structured warm-ups, graded contact, protective equipment and constant supervision. Beginners never spar full contact.

05

Character before medals

Punctuality, courtesy and effort are graded alongside technique. Parents notice the change at home before they see a medal.

06

Small, attentive classes

The Chief Instructor personally corrects each student. No one trains unnoticed at the back of the hall.
